About

Wanderers of the Waste began at a writing-centric sleepover, with five friends sitting around discussing their various plot ideas.  One of them had constructed a plot around a group of characters generated online, which the others found intriguing.  They thus commenced playing around with the generator and, enjoying the results, someone suggested doing a chain story with characters thus produced.  This, several months later, is the result.

...apparently likes Star Trek.  And lots of other miscellaneous subjects, which is why I am triple-majoring in philosophy, linguistics, and music composition.  While I am not exactly sure where I want to go with all of that, besides the fact that this entails excitingful world of doom graduate school, the ideal future career would be composing film scores for future science-fiction and fantasy movies. Or being one of those really strange quirky professors about whom everyone talks works for me, too.

...I'm the resident over-the-top art geek among the writers here, and hence am majoring in art.  Eventually, I aspire to become an illustrator, as it combines two of my greatest passions: art and literature.  When I'm not getting lost in Hogwarts corridors (and honestly, my sense of direction is positively dismal), I can be found exploring space and time with the Doctor, or manning my post in Starfleet.  If you're interested in seeing some of my art, visit my Deviant Art Page, and my personal blog here.

...doesn't want to put too much information out on the internet because getting stalked and whatnot is unpleasant. I enjoy culture and languages, particularly Japanese, and am somewhat of a recovering otaku. Nonsensical fantasy blog-chain-story is my nicotine patch (Not only in that it alleviates the need for all things Japan, but in addition it keeps me awake long past my bedtime and makes me jittery and excitable at inconvenient times throughout the day).

...is the sane one of the bunch.  I'm also the resident science geek supreme, and will probably major in biology with a double minor in French and writing, and an eye towards a graduate degree in marine biology.  I love genre fiction - sci-fi and fantasy - and firmly believe that it is as worthy of being held in high regard as fancypants 'literature' that they teach in English class.  I also read webcomics, but the only one I'm up-to-date with on a daily basis is Homestuck.  If you're really curious about me, I recommend you check out my personal blog, found here.

Kayla
...is most likely the strangest one of the staff. I have been a dancer for many years and hold a deep love, appreciation of, and fascination for funerals and death. I am also extremely random and many non sequiturs spring from my mouth on any given day. I am a recovering procrastinator, slowly but surely reforming my life through the loss of busy work in college. And I love meat cleavers. Especially shiny ones.

Now see if you can figure out who is who...
